The study aims to investigate primary school English teachers' knowledge of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and examine how this knowledge is translated into pedagogical practices in the classroom. As global education increasingly emphasises sustainability, teachers play a crucial role in integrating SDG-related content into language teaching. However, there is limited empirical evidence on teachers' understanding and classroom implementation of SDGs, particularly within the Malaysian primary school English teachers' context. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey design. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed via Google Forms to primary school English teachers across Penang. The findings are expected to provide insights into current gaps between knowledge and practice and to inform policymakers and educators on improving teacher training and curriculum implementation. Ultimately, this study contributes to strengthening ESD in Malaysian schools.
